2/9 Track Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,
At Church Hill Middle School, student safety and well-being are always our top priorities. One important way we support a positive and secure campus is through consistent supervision during non-structured times of the day, such as lunch periods and bus arrival and dismissal.
These times, while valuable for social interaction, can sometimes be challenging for middle school students. Increased adult presence helps students feel safe and supported, encourages positive behavior, and reduces opportunities for conflict or poor decision-making. Just as importantly, it allows us to strengthen the partnership between families and school staff.
We are inviting parents and guardians to volunteer to assist with supervision during lunch and bus duty. Volunteers play a vital role by:
Helping students feel safe and seen
Supporting positive behavior and respectful interactions
Keeping students engaged and on track during unstructured time
Building stronger connections between families and school staff
Opportunities for volunteering will include the following times:
_____ 7:15 - 7:45 M T W TH F
_____ 2:45 - 3:30 M T W TH F
_____ 10:30 - 12:30 M T W TH F
No prior experience is required, and staff members will always be present to provide guidance and support. Even a small amount of time can make a meaningful difference for our students.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact the school office for an application. We truly appreciate your willingness to partner with us in creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming school environment for all students.
Thank you for your continued support of our school community.

District Announcement: Hawkins County Schools will continue to be closed on Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6, due to unsafe secondary roads. Due to warming temperatures and sunshine forecast over the weekend and into next week, we aim to open schools and run buses on clear routes beginning Monday. If this plan changes, we will send and post updates. Please refer to the HCS Bus Changes page: https://www.hck12.net/o/hcsd/page/buses for updates to our roads and affected routes.
