Superhero Day! Wear your favorite superhero shirt. Sometimes, all you have to do to be a hero is show up.

Jersey/Sports Day! Represent your favorite team, athlete, or sport.

Movie/Book Character Day! Bring your favorite character to life.

Homecoming Queen Contestants Reminder: To be eligible for the Homecoming Court, all contestants must sell and turn in a minimum of $75 in tickets by the first deadline on September 1, 2026.

The final deadline to turn in ticket sales—which determines the Homecoming Queen winner—will be September 10th at 12:00 PM. Thank you for your support!

Guardians/Parents that have NOT set up Skyward Family Access Setting up Skyward Family Access and completing verifications is vital for the safety of your child during pick up and needful information for the school, as well as allowing parents to see grades, attendance, and important student information. Please reach out to the school office if you need your email added to Skyward. Using a desktop computer is the easiest way to update information, not on the Skyward app. After your current email is entered at the school, you will receive an automatic email message from Skyward. Check your spam folder. Follow directions to set up your account. (Family Access Account Email Setup Account Information) When you login to Skyward, use the drop down menu and select Parent/Student Access. Select Family Access on the top right corner and then select your students name. Select 2026/2027 Information Verification and follow the steps to update your information step by step until complete, this takes about 15 minutes, submit when finished. You will complete this update yearly, usually in the summer.

🚨 URGENT REMINDER FOR 6TH GRADE BAND PARENTS 🚨 The Music Doctors event is tomorrow evening, and we still need families to sign up for appointments. The following time slots are available: * 4:30 — 1 slot * 4:45 — 3 slots * 5:15 — 3 slots * 5:30 — 2 slots * 5:45 — 3 slots * 6:00 — 2 slots * 6:15 — 3 slots Please email Lily.summey@hck12.net as soon as possible to reserve a time. If most of the appointments are not filled, the event may have to be canceled or rescheduled.

Our 7th and 8th graders had a great time at the Hawkins County Gear Up assembly at Volunteer High School this morning! They even got to hang out with Bucky!

6th Grade Band Instrument Night - Reserve Your Time Slot! Music Doctors will be at Volunteer High School on August 18th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM to help 6th-grade band students get their instruments, supplies, and books. They will be stationed in the theatre, across from the gym. Representatives will meet with families in 15-minute time slots to explain payment details, instrument delivery, and options for stopping payments if your student does not continue in band. Please bring a valid ID and a credit card to secure your instrument with a down payment. To reserve a spot, please contact Ms. Summey via the HCK app or email at lily.summey@hck12.net with your student’s name and preferred time slot. These are first come, first served.
