Our 7/8 Panther Band traveled to the Trills & Thrills Concert Festival in Maryville, TN this morning and WOW did they deliver! They earned a Superior Rating, the highest honor possible for a performing group! We are beyond proud of these talented students and the hard work they’ve put in all year. And after their outstanding performance, they spent the rest of the day celebrating at Dollywood! Work hard, play hard—that’s the Panther way!

FYI:

Mrs. McLain and Ms. Duke’s class put on their scientist hats this morning as they began gathering real scientific data! Students measured their shadows early in the day and will compare those measurements again this afternoon.

Mrs. Tupper and Mr. Harwood’s class took their learning outside today to measure shadows! Students explored how the position of the sun changes shadow length, making real-world connections to science and math.

The Lady Panthers are on a roll!

After a dominant 13–0 victory over Greenville at home last night, the team has officially advanced to the second round of the conference tournament! From strong bats to lockdown defense, the Lady Panthers showed up and showed out in front of their home crowd.

Next stop: Round 2. Let’s keep the momentum going! Go Panthers!

State Testing Reminder Dear Parents & Students, State testing will begin Monday morning, and we want everyone set up for success! 🕖 School starts at 7:45 AM — please make sure students arrive on time. 🚪 Doors open at 7:15 AM, and breakfast is served until 7:40 AM. ⛔ Once testing begins, students will not be able to enter late or leave during testing. We encourage all students to get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast so they’re ready to do their best. Students — don’t stress! Just take your time and give it your best effort. We believe in you! 💙 Thank you for your support!

Well… turns out some of our teachers make excellent human coloring books! Tattoo a Teacher was a hit! The kids had a blast, the teachers survived (barely 😉), and we raised money while making some unforgettable memories. That’s a win all around!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our 3rd Quarter House Games are happening today, and both students and staff are incredibly excited! It’s always a high-energy, memorable event that brings our school community together.

To help everything run smoothly, we ask that there be no early student pickups after 1:00 PM. It is extremely difficult to pause the assembly to retrieve students once the games are underway, and we want all students to fully enjoy the experience without interruptions.

Your kindness, time, and dedication to our kids does not go unnoticed. We truly appreciate your support in helping our students stay healthy and ready to play! This Friday, we’re bringing some laughs to our school with a fun fundraiser…Tattoo a Teacher! Students will have the chance to purchase temporary tattoos and choose a teacher to wear them for the day! 💲 $1 tattoos 💲 $5 tattoos 💲 $10 large tattoos It’s all in good fun and a great way to support our school and maybe seeing a teacher with a pretty wild new “look”! Attn Band Parents: Our pizza kits are scheduled to be delivered TODAY at 11 AM. Please pick up your kits at the 7/8 band room (Room 162) after school today. We CANNOT hold them in our freezer, so any orders not picked up will have to be thrown away.  7/8 band students may take theirs home after rehearsal ends at 4:30. If picking them up during the school day (after 12 PM) is more convenient for you, please send me a message or email me at lily.summey@hck12.net
